Chiming in on the buffalo burger question, I posted this endorsement of my neighborhood joint.
If you’re ever up north Glendale way, in the Montrose Shopping District (the Larchmont of the valley), there’s a faux-fifties family friendly joint called Rocky Cola, that’s been around since I think the dawn of meat itself. They sell a few different buffalo items and ostrich burgers. Drive up the 2 and compare! I love buffalo burgers, I do not find the meat gamey, and I have always described it as “like really good, lean, juicy beef.” Rocky Cola’s serves theirs Johnny Rocket’s style, with red BBQ sauce and a fat onion ring on top. C U There!

There’s a Rocky Cola in Hermosa Beach as well, right where Aviation dead ends into Sepulveda/PCH. I never tried the buffalo burger though.

I’m scared! But if babycakes will eat one then so will I. Besides I’m always up for a drive on the 2.
