Have you voted???
Wednesday, May 18, 2005 13:52It was back in 2000 when I discovered it and became an addict. I had a VIP pass for an E3-like convention. While most people were drooling over the graphics of Sony PlayStation’s video games, my friends and I were drawn to something else. The Ben & Jerry’s truck that was giving out free ice cream. There were only 4 flavors to choose from. I only remember one, and it’s the only one that mattered: Bovinity Divinity. Two of my loves coming together to form one perfect ice cream flavor: dark chocolate & white chocolate. I had about a year’s worth of happiness with Bovinity Divinity before it disappeared out of my life. The last time I tasted it was in March of 2001 while visiting my sister in Maryland. I have been in withdrawal for the past 4 years. Then today…
I went to the Ben & Jerry website and found out they are going to bring back a flavor from the graveyard. There are 10 flavors to vote for, and Bovinity Divinity is one of them. If you have any love, loyalty, and/or respect for the sanctity of ice cream, I urge you to go vote for Bovinity Divinity!
Okay, so that was a little over the top, but this is my favorite ice cream we’re talking about. I’m not embarrassed to get a little silly to get people to vote for it to come back. There is also one little bonus: you get a $1 coupon off your next sundae or frozen beverage. Voting continues through May 31st.

I’ve voted for BD… goddess, that ice cream was my saviour during exams week when I was in high school. I don’t think I had more than a dozen pints for its too-short existance, since BJ’s is expensive and I was a poor teenager, but it was worth every penny when I could have it. Phish Food is an ok substitute, but GIMME BD!
p.s. thanks for showing up on my “bovinity divinity” google search, I voted, printed out the coupon since noticing a short time earlier there’s a store on the Atlantic City Boardwalk (again? I know there was one there when I was like 12, but I had thought it closed.)

Thanks for voting! Can’t believe this turned up on Google.
