Sunday Bubbly Sunday in Eagle Rock

“Three be the things I shall never attain: envy, content and sufficient champagne.” — Dorothy Parker

Don’t die regretting you didn’t drink enough bubbly. John and Jen, the owners of 2-month old Colorado Wine Co., are ready to help. On Sunday afternoon they’re hosting their second ever sparkling wine tasting. This weekend they’re featuring Prosecco, sparkling rose, Penedes, and, of course, champagne.

Sunday Bubbly Sunday
Sunday, May 22nd 1-4pm

Wines
Col Vetoraz Valdobbiadene Prosecco, Italy
Avinyo Cava, Penedes, Spain
Renardat Bugey Cerdon (Sparkling Rose), Italy
Nicolas Feuillatte Premier Cru Brut Champagne, France

Cost: $12/person

If you can’t make it to the tasting on Sunday stop by to check out the Eiswein they just got in. They picked up “a handful of Dr. Loosen’s Blue Slate Eiswein 2003 after tasting a slew of more affordable Eisweins and this one by far outshone the rest ($34.99/half bottle).”

I guess nobody has heard of this amazing new wine from Australia “Laughing Kookaburra” imported by a company called ‘Keymosabi’
It has a gold medal and I can’t find it in any stores other than Vino 100 in Cathedral City, CA which shows you how enterprising the owner of this store must be. It was featured at the Desert Princess Country Club restaurant and it’s name is buzzing in the Palm Springs area - but nowhere else. Where is it in Los Angeles?

    Is Kookaburra a sparkler?

I like the name almost as much as Goats Do Roam!

No, not a sparkler but a great blend GMS.
Starting to be distributed in NoCal at selected retail.
