Tofu House and Bibimbab

One of my friends is rather fond of Korean food so the other night, we went to Tofu House. A Google search reveals that it is a chain with locations in California and South Korea!

We shared Original Soon Tofu with Pork, Seafood Soon Tofu and Bibimbab Soon Tofu Combo requesting mild spice level. Atmosphere is busy and service is okay but the food is pretty good with our check for three people clocking in at the mid-$30s with tax and tip.

I’ll be curious to know if Sarah has tried this place and has an opinion on it and others in the area? Afterall, Sarah has reported here at LA.foodblogging about making Bibimbab with more details here and here.

yep - been to bcd many times…the soon dooboo is okay there, but i do believe there are places where the soon dooboo is a little better. bcd is sort of a backup place when we’re RIGHT there at wilshire and western AND don’t want to drive a black further AND it’s 4 am ;)

Which places would you recommend in that part of town for me and my friends to try?

Thanks for whatever input you may have, Sarah!
