Lots of plants with red sashes and an overflow parking lot. We skipped it and went to the Ramen house in the same strip mall. Located under the stairwell Foo Foo Tei. it always hits the spot. Nice noodles with an odd twists (who ever heard of menudo ramen?) Anyone have any thoughts on best dim sum these days? Triumphal Palace? Mission 261? New Concept? Or still nostalgic for NBC Seafood/Ocean Star? Inattentive service is expected at Cantonese restaurants. But, this place is just stupid. Not only did I wait 30 minutes for a table, but they called my number and then told me they retracted it and then crossed it out. Had I not pressed to be seated they would have just let me keep sitting. (basically they gave my seat away to some Cantonese speaking foursome.) The service is horrible. No one came to ask what tea we wanted for 20 minutes (it is customary in dim sum restaurants for the waiter to immediately ask what tea you want). I eat dim sum practically every other week and have done so most of my life. So as far as food goes, this place is average. The service makes it a horrible experience. I will NEVER go there again.
