He could have won a Grammy, buried in his jammies…. As a tie-in with the upcoming Los Angeles County Museum of Art exhibit “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs” the Le Meridien in Beverly Hills has come up with an inspired thematic package that’s too intriguing (and spendy!) not to blog:

In Los Angeles, two nights en suite, at Le Meridien:

• Personal 24-hour “Tutler (butler) service
• Private town car and chauffeur service each day
• Four-course catered dinner for two paired with selected California wines
• Choice of “Mummy Wrap or “Pharaoh Facial at the hotel’s Humble Abode Spa
• Special “Tuttini” drink and “Mummy Wrapâ€? appetizer at Café Noir
• Commemorative King Tut See’s Candies welcome amenity
• Breakfast for two daily served en suite or at Le Festival restaurant
• VIP tickets to the King Tut Exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)

In Cairo, three nights in a pool deck presidential suite at Le Meridien Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt:

• Private care and chauffeur service
• Sound and light show at the Pyramids of Giza
• Private tour of the pyramids and Sphinx with an Egyptologist
• Exclusive guided tour of Old and Coptic Cairo with an Egyptologist
• Dinner at the Nubian Village restaurant; Mexican dinner served en suite; and lunch at Naguib Mahfour restaurant at the Old Bazaar
• Champagne breakfast with desert views accompanied by a violinist
• Sunset Felluca cocktail cruise down the Nile River

“The Ultimate King Tut package is priced at $37,000 for two, including taxes. Cost includes unrestricted first class roundtrip airfare for two from Los Angeles to Cairo. Guests have the option to purchase only the Le Meridien at Beverly Hills portion of the package for $4,000, including taxes.” (Via)

So many questions. What’s in Cafe Noir’s special “Tuttini” cocktail and “Mummy Wrapâ€? appetizer? And what the tut are “commemorative King Tut See’s candies?” What does Mexican food taste like in Cairo anyway?
