I went to Cafe Pinot a year ago, and their lamb still haunts my dreams. I've never had lamb so tender and flavorful-- it was transcendent. Their potted cream (I think that's what it's called) is another excellent dessert if you're a rich dark chocolate lover.

Rene - I just called Café Pinot, and they said no corkage fee still, except on holidays or special events. I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed your visit there!

I'd give Cafe Pinot the thumbs up as well. Earlier in the year, I went to LA Opera to see a Sunday matinee performance of AIDA and then went to dinner at Cafe Pinot. The food was tasty with great presentation. Also, sitting outdoors was great! Another bonus was that one in our party knows wine and brought two bottles along as Cafe Pinot didn't have a corkage fee! I wonder if that is still true these days?
