Green Tea Terrace

I bring you this picture with great personal risk. After getting a haircut in Westwood, I popped into my favorite place for some iced green tea, Green Tea Terrace. I tried Green Tea Terrace for the first time a few years ago. I wasn’t sure what to order at the time, so the person behind the counter recommended getting a mix of the sweet green tea and the Sen-Cha tea. That way I would get the good green tea flavor, with some, but not overwhelming sweetness. I liked the mixture and often go back to have the refreshing mixture.
This time, I walked into the empty store and was greeted by two of the three workers behind the counter. I ordered my drink and paid without incident. I walked over to the couch by the window while the three workers gathered behind the counter and started giggling about pictures that the girl had on her camera. Figuring that I would write up a little detail of the Terrace, I pulled out my camera to snap a picture of my drink before I sucked it down.
Snap. Snap. Snap. Suddenly, the girl came running over to the end of the counter:
Her: Are you taking pictures in our store?!?!
Me: I’m sorry?
Her: I said are you taking PICTURES in OUR STORE?!?!
Me: Uh. Yeah.
Her: We have a REGULATION against that!
Me: A regulation?
Her: Yes, we have a REGULATION against taking pictures in OUR STORE!
Me: Call the cops…..
And I picked up my tea to go outside and drink it. Even though my experience was slightly tainted, I still enjoyed the Sen-Cha Sweet Tea mix and on the warm sunny day, it hit the spot. Will I go back? Probably, but hyperactive workers who aggressively enforce their ‘regulations’ on their customers weird me out a bit. So, I am posting this picture of the drink taken from INSIDE the store. I await the cease and desist letter.
