I’ll be on KCRW’s radio show Good Food tomorrow (7/9/05) at 11:00 AM talking about candyblog.net. If you don’t live in Southern California where it airs, you can also catch the show on the web via real player on this page after it airs. KCRW also offers PodCasts of its shows.
For those of you that have never listened to Evan Kleinman’s one hour homage to all things edible, you should really check it out. It starts with a Farmers Market report, where they go out in a field and tells us about all the freshest produce at your local market and wonderful interviews about what to do with those curious vegetables, fruits or berries you might run across. Then she does in-depth interview segments with chefs, writers, inventors, shop owners and farmers. She’s an accomplished chef in her own right and of course loves food and sharing that experience.
I highly recommend subscribing to the podcast, though it is a large download (because it’s an hour), you can listen to it away from your computer (on your iPod or burn it to CD as I have and listen in the car).
By cybele (see more of her posts). You can find more of cybele's writing all about candy at her own website Candyblog.net

That is really cool cybele. Evan seems to be in touch with the food blogging scene, I have heard a few blogging guests on her show. I will be sure to check it out live or download it!

It’s a very long story, but Evan Kleiman stole my new whisk. I hadn’t even used it yet, and she asked if she could borrow it to make a polenta.
(What kind of Italian cook puts polenta on her menu and forgets to pack a whisk? That knocked her down a notch in my book…)
I think that after 12 months, I will reclassify “borrowed” to stolen. Evan, you owe me a piano whisk!
