Trader Joe’s Egg Capellini Pasta
Wednesday, July 27, 2005 9:09Over the years, Trader Joe’s has had some spectacularly horrible pastas, so much so that ever since that bite of chalky mush that I spat out a few years ago I’ve been hesitant to try any new ones.
Curiosity finally got the better of me and I picked up a package of this.
I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta’s not chalky, it’s got a good texture and a decent flavor. It’s not so eggy that you can eat it with just butter, but it’s still pretty good!
Like all thin noodles, it cooks really quickly and will get mushy if you don’t pay attention and boil it too long.
