The Tofu Festival is in it’s 10th year. Sponsored by the Little Tokyo Service Center as their annual fundraiser, it has a block party feel with dozens of restauraunts setting up tents offering a wide variety of foods made with tofu: pad thai, tofu cheesecake to soy ice cream, edamamme salads, and more. There’s music, dance, friendly people (except maybe when the sun is hot and the shaded chairs are scarce) and the annual tofu-eating contest.

General admission is $8 and dishes range from $1 to $4 per serving. The festival will be open on Saturday, August 13, from noon to 10 pm and Sunday, August 14, from 11 am to 9 pm. It will be located on San Pedro Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Visit www.tofufestival.com for more info.
