The problem with raw food is, it all tastes the same, and it is surprisingly filling. I never feel good after eating it. by the way, they do not serve ice because the ice freezes the enzymes that help digest the food.

Most likely the Rabbi wasn't smelling the collard greens, he was holding in up to the light checking it for internal bugs.

FYI insects might be Vegan, but not Kosher.

hey jonah!

glad you enjoyed it. those wraps really blow me away. next time, and for all you who will try Leaf, also ask for marinated onions on your wraps. i think that one you ordered may or may not have had them, but if you like onions they are soo awesome and really add to the wraps.

other good news, Leaf has opened its 2nd venue! it's at 14318 Ventura Blvd, in Sherman Oaks.

oh and there's even one more chance to catch Leaf on the Food Channel on 11/22/05 2 am/10 am ET/PT which isn't much notice... but their version of a raw thanksgiving looks pretty rad.

so thank you for that write up and FYI, those strong leaves used as the wrap on the wraps are collared greens! yumm!

It's always a good policy to eat food that look better (or at least different) going down than coming back up

Oh lord...I had their "oatmeal" on morning - which was flax, almond milk and blueberries. It looked like vomit. And I forced myself to eat it as it cost 6 bucks or something. After that I can't drive by without my stomach curdling.

Though the wrap was good. JUST DON'T EAT THE "OATMEAL"
