Kosher Seafood @ Fish Grill

In the mood for fish?

There are many places to get seafood. But the virtue of Fish Grill for me is that I can walk to it from where I live and get this white-collar-worker-body out and about a bit for a nice evening stroll to Fish Grill and then back home.

Want it plain and simple?

As you can see from the photos the atmosphere is smallish neighborhood casual. I opted not to use the flash on my digital camera when taking a picture of my food though I suppose the very act of taking out a camera to take a picture of my food might have been noticed!

Ordering is straighforward: you get a grilled fish (you pick the type from the menu board over the counter) with a choice of baked potato, fries or rice and Israeli salad or cole slaw. They toss the fish onto the grill and when its done they call your number and you fetch your meal.

Want your fish kosher?

The restaurant is clearly marked and labeled as kosher and indeed for a fair number of the diners there that is an important consideration. In the interest of disclosure, I’m Christian so there would be some seafood items I would eat that would not be found at this restaurant.

Nonetheless, I enjoy the simple pleasure of dining here.

I went to the Beverly Blvd. location as that is my neighborhood. I see from their web page they also have one in the Valley.

Ah, you remembered I’m the salmon fan!

On this occasion, it was a tad overcooked. 8-(

I haven’t yet tried their fish tacos.

    Only in LA?

    Kosher fish tacos!
