Ever had the hakata-style ramen at Shin Sen Gumi? On JANUARY 28th and SUNDAY JANUARY 29th, ramen bowls are only $3 AT THE FOUNTAIN VALLEY LOCATION ONLY. They are starting at 11:30 am and closing when they’ve served 400 bowls, so expect a wait. The Gardena and Rosemead locations are not honoring this deal. Shin Sen Gumi is known for their tonkatsu ramen (cloudy broth), hyperactive employees, customizable orders and ramen eating contests. You can select the hardness or your noodles and flavor intensity of the oil and broth. I had heard that if you can order 5-6 rounds of extra noodles ($.95), you get your photo taken. Not sure if they do that anymore. During lunch, Shin Sen Gumi has a deal for $7-8 - a bowl of ramen and your choice of 4 pieces of gyoza or fried rice. Both are tasty.
