The 75×75 100×100

75x75

Y’know how In N’ Out’s “double-double” is double meat/double cheese? Yeah, well…

UPDATE: As reader/researcher StarCreator corrects, this is actually a 100×100, total cost $97.66, as blogged over a year ago by What Up Willy. Thanks to StarCreator for the find, and I strongly recommend visiting the original slideshow this pic comes from: a group of friends killing a Vegas booze buzz and snapping photos all along the way (registration to KodayEasyShareGallery req’d).

  1. Surely there’s a story there, or do we write it ourselves?

“Mr Atkins’s wake started with a light appetizer…”

  2. Caltech undergraduates have been known to order a 100×100 for a party.

  3. For a minute I thought I&O actually had a box for something as horrid as that. I like how they MacGuyvered it with a foil wrap box.

  4. Mr Atkins’s wake started with a light appetizer… A crusty old dowager, her face resembling a fallen pie, glanced askew at the jumbo sandwich on offer and sneered.

“Gahh!” she spat. “Do you think they might have taken a moment’s consideration for the catering, given the old coot did, in fact, die of a massive coronary?!”

“Mmwhuff?” mumbled her shy, diminutive companion, her mouth crammed with greasy, cheesy delights…

  5. And all this time I thought I was a badass for once finishing a 5×5…

  6. In N’ Out’s “secret menu” has become fairly common knowledge since the internet, and local blogger Badmouth has covered it thoroughly with reviews and pictures.

After a lunchtime chat about it the other day, (who said Gingergrass doesn make good pho??) my lunchmate emailed me this snap. I don’t know when or by whom it was taken, but inquiries have been made. I’ll comment back when I find out.

  7. Some research (read: boredom) revealed what might be the original origin of this image, complete with additional images, posted back in November 2004 - http://whatupwilly.blogspot.com/2004/11/vegas-recap.html

    Of course, the post claims it’s a 100×100, not a 75×75.

  8. No doubt about it! Thanks Starcreator, glad you’ve got nothing better to do! My own research for a picture ref came up dry, and now I know it’s because I was told this was a 75×75. Will update above.

  9. Wow…i’m pseudo-famous. That’s my blog..and yes we did finish the greasy-disgusting-100×100. It has been over a year..and I haven’t eaten In’N'Out since. I think I personally put down 21 or 22 patties and cheese glop.

We only had one person barf…

  10. Hey, thanks for badmouth’s link with the great pix — ya know, until today I always thought “protein style” — my all-time fave and absolutely the *only* burger that will pass my lips, on rare occasions — and “animal style” were somehow the same. Cool.

The “flying dutchman” — WTF?!? too funny!

  11. So according to Will’s site, the extrapolated caloric content of the 100×100 was 19490. This means for every meat and cheese combo, it was around 200 calories. So for the party members who ate 20+ patties, that was 4000+!!!!! calories in one sitting. Wow, that would definitely put off anyone from eating In-n-Out for a long time.

  12. i like how the employee in the back is staring at the camera like there’s nothing abnormal about the current 75 x 75 order.

“Yep, those are big sellers, alright.”

  13. Hey, isn’t anyone else gonna add to the short story Jonah and I started? The story behind the monster-sandwich??
