Valentine’s Dining in Los Angeles
Tuesday, January 31, 2006 11:58Overcrowded restaurants, limited menus, servers trying to get you in and out as fast as they can, contrived desserts… what better way to spend a romatic evening with your sweetie than braving popular dining spots on February 14th?
With just two weeks left to go, many places are already full. According to OpenTable.com, you can not make reservation at spots like Sona, Drago or L’Orangerie.
For a running list, continue reading below. I will try to update as more restaurants fill up. While we’re at it, does anyone have a good Valentine’s dining story (missing reservations, rubbery food, tiffs at the next table, etc)?
Update 1/31 9:00 PM: A few more restaurants added to the “full” list, including Providence and Yamashiro
Update 2/1 9:30 PM Another round down, with heavy hitters Grace and Ortolan filled with reservations. Read below for full list.

I got an email from Noe restaurant downtown that they’re doing a Hawaii vacation giveaway to couples who dine at Noe on V-Day. I’m so there!

You know, if your favorite spot is booked, you can always have a personal chef come by and cook for you in your own home. Well, actually, I’m already booked on valentines day, but gift certificates are available!
