Family Cookbook — on the final stretch

Monday, February 13, 2006 14:48

So, I haven’t posted for a while because I’ve been pretty busy compiling a cookbook of treasured family recipes.

It’s taken a lot longer than I thought it would, to test and photograph about 20 recipes from my sisters, my Mum, her brother (Uncle Ray) and a couple of my cousins.

The sensational recipes I have obtained will include:

Prawn Risotto, Beef Rendang, Crab Cakes, Relish, Chicken Soup, Fish Pie as well as salads and various cakes.

I’ll be posting in full detail soon, but here’s an idea of the cover page:

Ya know Jonah — I’d def like to talk to you about all that at our next get-together. What I *don’t* know about self-publishing is a helluva lot…

But now I’m gonna invstigate Lulu and Cafe Press.

    So, thanx heaps!

Well here’s another one for your consideration, blurb.com. It’s a new service and looks to cost a little more, but quality seems higher:

Okay, I e’d my Mum and she’s (allegedly) gonna contribute a pav(lova) recipe.

So Jonah, thanks for the inspiration — I think the book is now complete.
