I think $53 pp (presumably before tip) actually sounds pretty great for that 3-course meal (I know, not everyone ordered three).  
Wait -- no wine?  Hmmnnn.  

But with some judicious ordering (e.g. avoiding the $30 fish special, esp as it was so disappointing), it might work out a little cheaper...  Tasting menus aside, I usually max out after 2 courses. 

But I always require about two glasses of good wine.</description>
