Jack and Jill’s of Beverly Hills
Thursday, March 9, 2006 9:05My wife and I were doing some post-post-wedding gift certificate spending at the Williams Sonoma on Beverly and we got hungry. We do like tasting cheese at the cheese store, indulging on cupcakes at Sprinkles and I like the huevos rancheros at the Farm, but we decided to try something new (to us).

We have walked past Jack n’ Jills of Beverly Hills a number of times. It’s always packed and the menu has the kind of items that we like for a tasty lunch. It’s not too unlike the menu at Urth, but a little less expensive.
Jack n’ Jills is deceptively large inside, with tables stretching back along the baked goods counter. There are only three tables outside on Beverly, and we were lucky enough to snag one on a sunny Saturday. Who needs a parade when you can watch the foot traffic in Beverly Hills?
We got to studying the menu and I picked a turkey burger and my wife ordered a veggie burger. Burgers come with a choice of fries or onion rings, so we got one order of each.

Both burgers were served with tasty fluffy buns, plenty of veggies and cheese. I think that the veggie burger had muenster and mine had something along the lines of swiss. The mixed green salad on the side was a nice offset to the fries and onion rings too.
Service was decent, but not stellar. We weren’t at a five star restaurant, so I wasn’t too worked up over it, plus we were having a rather lazy day anyway.
Jack n’ Jills is known more for their breakfasts than their lunches, and we plan to go back to sample. If you are wondering around, looking for a good place for lunch and don’t want to spend too much, JnJ is definitely worth a stop. We both were stuffed for around $20.
