It’s Friday, where are you eating on this rainy weekend? Will it be warm soups, hearty Italian Food, spicy Chinese dishes, or weather be damned, you’re going to eat ice cream all weekend!

We are definitely going out for breakfast this weekend. John O’Groats, Amandine, Jinky’s, it will be a game time decision in the morning.
With the weather, I will probably make some soup at home and continue my bread baking experiments.

I’ll be hanging out in Westwood most of the day on Saturday, so I foresee a trip to Noodle Planet or In’N'Out.
Tonight, though, I think I’ll hunker down with some roast chicken. There should be enough left over for a chicken pot pie, my favorite bad-weather comfort food.

Looks like home-cookin’ for me this weekend. Tonight’ll be pork chops with the gf and tomorrow will be a pot luck for a friend in town. Have to figure out the main dish however.

Sat night we’re going to an engagement party at Oasis on La Brea, followed by unlimited cocktails at the hella-cool Sunset Marquis Bar, late eve-early morn… (Friend in town from London — she does PR for Metallica, among others, so it’s gonna be a rockin’ night. Last time we hung at the Marquis with her, we spotted Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. Wow!)

Making meatballs tonight. Meeting a friend for dinner in the Inland Empire (gasp) on Sunday. She lives in Chino Hills–any recommendations out that way? She’s unfortunately not particularly adventurous.

Ahh, John O’Groats it was this morning. Huevos O’groats for me, pumpkin pancakes for my wife and some bacon in between us. Look for a full write up soon.
