I've had the miso black cod at Nobu Next Door in New York. It is served by pouring thinly-sliced scallions in hot oil over the miso-cured cod. Truly delicious.

I've been to the Yabu on La Cienega. I liked it, but haven't made it back... Remember there were some interesting, atypical Japanese cuisine items.

I would so do is as duck udon; that soba didn't sound good at all. The texture is all-important. But I am sensitive to salt, so I dunno.

Anyone's Miso Black Cod would taste better than at Beacon. The service at that place seriously blows.

But not better than Matsuhisa's, I gather? (Which I haven't had the pleasure to try.)

Nice report
thanx.
