i love me some good fried chicken. i've been wanting to go to honey's, but haven't made it there. looking at the photos posted, it looks very similar to golden bird fried chicken
3767 Santa Rosalia Dr
Los Angeles, CA 90008
(323) 292-2109

i can't recommend this more if anyone is ever interested in a super greasy but crispy chicken!

I haven't tried Honey's but I made not one, but two, trips in one week to Maurice's Snack n Chat (5068 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, 323-931-3877). Her chicken, southern sides and desserts can only be described as food heaven and I can't recommend this place enough to people.

Take out service only so call ahead and allow enough time for your food to be made. Warning - cash only!

Thanks for the review, Jeff. I had been curious about this place and tried to go over the summer, but Honey's was closed due to a fire. By the time renovations were finished, I was too far away for a visit. At least now I have an idea of what I was missing. :)

I love this place. Their servings are huge and delicious. I thought their biscuits were tasty as well.

I'm going to have to give it another shot. I got the combo, and while it was good, it didn't blow me away. Maybe I'll try the straight up chicken without the extraneous other fried food, which all conspired to be one helluva greasy meal.

I think what I was missing was a uniquely flavored crust, and I recall it was lacking spices. Ok, time to revisit to make sure I wasn't off the mark.

Those are buttermilk biscuits? They look -- rather incongruously -- like bagels!
