Spitz Gets It Untwisted
Thursday, April 20, 2006 21:09Eagle Rockers who cruise Colorado know by now, after many months of delays, Spitz is finally open for bidness.
The Doner kebab shop opened last Wednesday (April 12th). Now they’re ready for your cash in exchange for some bad*ss keb*b samwiches. Open 11AM to 10 PM.
We hope that all the unanticipated costs and unforseen heartaches were worth it for the first-time restaurant owners. We’ll be trying out Spitz’s savory wares shortly (must admit, a little leery of the homemade panini in lieu of pita).
Meantime, the latenite gelato is awezome g00d.

Nothing beats a nice, big bowl of steaming pho on a bad dreary, rainy day. Thinking of venturing outside of Golden Deli…any recs?

Both Rob and Bryce do an awesome job of making them yummy sandwiches. The place is packed everytime we go to eat there. My wife and I LOVE the Doner Kebab!!! And the Lychee Gelato….mmmmmm.
4 Stars!!!!

Just moved to Eagle Rock and Spitz was the third restaurant we tried. LOVE. IT. LUUUURV IT. It’s not traditional, but it’s down right delicious! And their gelato is a must try!

First of all, I think spitz is one of the more lackluster lunch spots I’ve been to. But if there is anything decent about their doner and falafel it’s that they use traditional Turkish bread. It’s not “homeade panini” you idiot. Learn what food is before you start blogging about it.

BY E ^ - Nice Attitude! You sound charming, attacking some guy because he doesn’t recognize “traditional Turkish bread”…
ANYWAYS Spitz is fantastic. Once a week we hit this spot and never dissapoints. ONLY complaint is the parking situation. You pretty much have to park on Colorado and try not to get killed getting out of the car.

I don’t know what happened the night we were there, but the food was inedible–tasted like someone dumped half a shaker of salt on it! Not just the doner, but the sides too. My husband comes from doner country and he was appalled. I might give it another try sometime, but I know he won’t.
