Last Sunday (April 23rd) was the 21st annual Santa Barbara Kite Festival, held on the Great Meadow at Santa Barbara City College’s west campus, 11am-4pm, overlooking the beautiful harbor and breakwater.

It’s such a fun event. Hundreds of kites of all shapes, sizes and colors to be seen.

One of the most popular events held throughout the day is the “tail chase for children as children in various age groups try to catch the tail of a kite as it dips and dives through the air. The winners were given a coupon to the local Coldstone Creamery. See, I knew I could make this post food-relevant!

Admission to the festival and parking on West Campus for the event is free. Hope to see you up there next year!
