Am not going to wade into the hot waters of “who makes the best hamburgers in LA!”
However, am going to report that I heard on KNBC television this morning that part of the 60th Anniversary celebration today will involve selling burgers at $0.60 each at the original location at 2575 W. Beverly Blvd. (cross street Rampart) (213) 389-9060.
As for other locations, in the Ask Tommy link, they say: … all Original Tommy’s restaurants will celebrate on May 15, 2006 with an Anniversary “special” served between noon and midnight (or closing) …

I remember Tommy’s when Ramparts was the only location and we’d head there after football games and dances or anytime we just had to have a chili burger. If you didn’t order quickly or correctly the cook would give you crap. I actually saw him kick a guy out of line because of something he said. Funny thing is the customer went to the end of the line and tried it again. My favorite, chili dog and a grape soda from the cooler at the end of the line.
