What Are Your Memorial Day Dining Plans?
Friday, May 26, 2006 9:00Memorial Day, the official kick off for summer. BBQ is obligatory. Do you ‘Que at home? Do you ‘Que at a friends? Do you go out for ‘Que at your favorite rib joint? Where do you get your meat? At a carniceria or do you pay top dollar at Gelson’s and Whole Foods?
We picked up some carne asada at Trader Joe’s, marinated and in the bag. I haven’t tried it yet, but my private-chef-brother-in-law gave it his seal of approval. I know, blasphemous in the land of authentic carnicerias, but sometimes convenience wins out.
