Pick up some interesting food trivia at this panel discussion to be held at the Mark Taper Auditorium of the Los Angeles Public Library this Saturday, June 10 at 10:30 AM.

Sponsored by the Culinary Historians of Southern California, a FREE panel discussion moderated by Sonia Mak, Curator of the Chinese American Museum, featuring as panelists authors Carl Chu and Lisa See, and former Los Angeles City Councilman Michael Woo.

More info about the LAPL’s collection of food-related materials can be found here. It is the only library to own all three of California’s first charitable cookbooks, one of which is entitled How to Keep a Husband, or Culinary Tactics. If you feel you are in need of husband-keeping advice, try the book’s recipe for Boiled Orange Pudding.
