Hi John- interesting-i eat meat/no meat/vegan too and i specifically made a trip to Burbank ( i live in Studio City) to try and thought the food was suprisingly tasty. And im picky!(and not part of any PR team) I had some of the of bbq beef, the curry chicken with fruit, and a bunch of little tastes of other stuff and was liked or loved it all. i didnt care for only one thing- a soy meat/macaroni dish. I shared with my husband and teenage son and they loved it too. is the airport the same food?

Sorry folks but the prior posts must be a PR team-this is the worst food on the Planet. I love the concept. I eat meat/no meat/vegan and this is the cheapest foodstuffs to get the largest profit margin. I was told that I must not be used to eating "heathy". I love food and life but... to have a business solely based on a marketing campaign is well... less than nice for those of us who love food AND life.

That's a good tip, although my long term flights (meaning not Southwest to the bay area) tend to be on American and I usually end up with a chicken caeser salad from Starbucks or TGIF. Edible, but unremarkable.

Veggiegal - I think I know what you mean about bland and that might be because many of their products are low sodium (which my husband prefers).

Urban - I finally had a Primanti on this most recent trip back. I never went in there because I didn't eat meat when I was in grad school but happily found that they make a fried egg sandwich that I would have loved back then. (No cole slaw or thousand island dressing on it, thankyouverymuch.)

That's great! I should fly more often. :)

I studied in Pgh for three years, and let me tell you, all those years of salads WITH french fries, melted cheese and creamy dressing (it's a local thing) or Primanti Brothers sandwiches after 2 am put a little extra "baggage" on me. ;) But Shadyside had some nice restaurants!

They've also got a location in the Burbank Pavillions. I found their food pretty bland in general, although their sweets are yummy!
