G and I went to Sushi Karen last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat at the bar and were entertained by chef Toshi and his skills. I like that it is small and personable. We'll for sure go back.

I haven't been to Sushi Karen in so long. I'm glad business is good, as I always liked their plating/presentation. While some items on the menu were really good deals, there were others (usually around the $13-$16 range) that I felt was a bit overpriced for what you get. There's another sushi place a couple doors down from Sushi Karen. Not as good and pretty, but tons of food without the dent to your wallet.

Thanks for the recommendation. MS and I checked out Sushi Karen last Friday and it was pretty good. I think we still prefer Sushi Echigo... and I like the sushi out in Little Tokyo too. But I LOVE the fact that Chef Toshi knows you. Hmm...I need to be a regular somewhere... but where oh where? ;)

I have tried Orion. It is a solid japanese beer, but nothing to blow you away. I think it is becoming popular because it is still made in Japan, whereas some of the other japanese beers are actually produced in north america
