Ha, I was there last night picking up some food too, maybe we crossed paths. I had both cauliflower dishes in addition to what you got, and the chana.

yay! - i went to Bharat Bazaar (aka Samosa House) yesterday. it was great. we had: a jackfruit dish, spinach, mattar paneer, some dry dal, rice, raita, and samosas. the jackfruit was a little over-savory for my taste, but still seemed well prepared ; the chapati were underwhelming. everything else was fantastic! the price was the same: 2 people completely stuffed, with accompanying soft-drinks for roughly $18.

i will add this place to my mental food-map and expect many return visits!

I second Erin's comment: ISS in los feliz is much bigger, newer, and nicer than the others I've been to (CuCi, Fairfax, and one in the valley). Not to say that those other locations are bad ... rather rougher around the edges (per se). Today I'm going to Bharat for the first time ever - excited!

I am talking about the India Sweets and Spices in Culver City, it is the only one I have been to, so I can't comment on the other locations. Good to know that the one you go to is clean and pleasant, because the food is tasty.

Are you talking about the India Sweets and Spices in Culver City? Because the one in Los Feliz/Atwater is clean and the service is quite friendly...I always get teased (in a friendly way) by the guy behind the counter for my love of papads.
