Not to mention the fact that Las Vegas is not exactly
a paradise for food. Even French Laundry Keller’s place there is atrocious, one of my worst meals anywhere.

Has Emily considered that what we project, in terms of our attitudes, comes back to us a hundred fold!

On her Bravotv.com bio she proudly describes herself as: “foul-mouthed and ill-tempered and claims that people often find her to be very brash. Emily likes to think she is one of the guys and can’t stand prissy girls.”

Emily, life is far too short and precious for such attitudes. Whatever hurt or disappointment you may have suffered you are allowing it to control you far too often and you may find yourself not only being known as the third chef to be let go from Top Chef, but a lonely and angry woman who wishes there was more to life.

I was thrilled to see her get the boot. She’s a classic case of a girl with zero self-esteem deflecting blame on the world at large. And it looks like her food was uninspired and, ahem, salty. Bye bye negative Emily.

She talks about the lady who she said the sugar comment about in the interview too. She doesn’t back down and again said that the lady should be avoiding sugar and only had four teeth.

The funny thing is, Emily says that the show was just manipulated to make her look bad, and then she gives this interview and comes off looking even worse! It must be those evil Chow.com editors…

Also, if she hated the show so much, why did she cry when she got kicked off?

I have been watching this season. This particular contestant, Emily, said two things (in the last episode, I think) that really shocked me — I knew right away she was toast.

I only remember one of the things she said, and it was in response to the challenge where they had to make street vendor-style food (I think) and serve it to the passers by. When one rather overweight woman commented her dish wasn’t sweet enough, Emily’s comment (to the camera, later, NOT in direct response to the woman) was something along the lines of “you’ve got an enormous ass; the last thing you need is more sugar…”

Wow.

You have got to be kidding me. I thought she was just having a bad day on the show, but apparently she’s a total witch. I mean, I get that L.A. does not have an Alinea, or a French Laundry or a Per Se or anything like that, but, GAH. I’ve managed to live here for a total of 10 years and never had to step foot in a “celebrity-owned trendy spot” and I’ve still managed to find plenty of options for dining, thank you very much.

And I’m kind of shocked that someone who looks like Emily can diss on the looks of someone who looks like Padma with a straight face.
