Try to avoid the steep hotel valet parking fee, though they do validate. There is one location Downtown and one in Santa Monica. LA, in general, shuts down a bit earlier than NYC. Hope that you find a some good spots! For late-ish, I like the bar menu at Lucques (after 9:30 weeknights, 10 on weekends I believe). Real late, it's always Brite Spot or Fred 62, or sometimes places in Thai Town--most are open v. late.
