H.C. says: so I opted for the more affordable and presumably tastier the Farm @ Beverly Hills instead. More affordable? I seem to remember a trip to The Farm as being expensive, and waiters were very rude.

Whisper Lounge is execellent every time I have gone. They serve dinner till midnight on Thu. I don't know why they were closing early. (1am on friday and sat) Oh, and that Blood Orange Marg is delicious!

I went to Whisper Lounge. Once. If you are in the mood for cold pizza, room temp champagne with a side of bad service, this place is for you. I am surprised they are still open.

^ You make a good point. I have *not* been there, so perhaps "accurate" wasn't the best choice of word in approbation of PK's review. Perhaps I meant to say "detailed". Any reader can see it's a fair report.

But I see you agree with my appraisal, in any case.

This kinda cracks me up:

I have *never* heard of nor even spotted this place!

Very nice write up — accurate and fair.

One wonders how the commenter could know whether the writeup is either accurate or fair without ever having seen the place!

That said, the review is both accurate and fair. I tend to like The Whisper Lounge, though. It's one of the few places at the Grove not jammed at cocktail hour, and their mac and cheese is on my list for among the best in town.

Thanks for the writeup - and I'm glad I listened to my gut on this one; I was tempted to try a while back, but realized upon arrival that I was underdressed & underbudgeted for eating here, so I opted for the more affordable and presumably tastier the Farm @ Beverly Hills instead.

Huh -- whisper is right; I have *never* heard of nor even spotted this place!

Very nice write up -- accurate and fair. I'll have to check this place out next time I'm in the vicinity, and next time I need an, um, early snack plus intoxicating beverage. Sliders didn't sound that great, tho.

Too bad you missed seeing Little Miss Sunshine -- it's a perfect indie treat. (Do they sell a do-it-yourself-kit for these movies at Sundance?!?)
