I have been working on a new food based site, Cheww.com. I am inviting la.foodblogging readers to check out the site and participate before I share it with a wider audience.

To get an idea of what Cheww.com is, read this post, “Why I Created Cheww” . Cheww is a place to share web dishes. Dishes are food based stories, blog posts, news items, etc. Anything interesting on the web that is food based. You can even submit your own blog posts for consideration.

When a dish is submitted it shows up on the New Dishes page. People review the submitted dishes and “Cheww” the ones they like. As soon as a story gets enough Chewws, it shows up on the front page of Cheww.com.

You can track the different dishes submitted according to the different tags, top dishes, and even watch the top users. You can add people as friends if you like what they post and even subscribe to individual feeds for your friends.

You may recognize this style of site from digg or reddit, social news where the users submit stories and decide which are the most interesting. Cheww has been created in the same vein, but focusing exclusively on food.

Of course, you are welcome to just stop by Cheww and read the articles, add comments and tell your friends.
