The gorgeous interior is going to be gutted. For almost 30 years L'Orangerie was the finest French restaurant in LA -- my favourite place for a birthday or Christmas Eve celebration. I will miss it's grace, charm and haute cuisine. One of their nicest and warmest maitre d' -- Stephane -- is now welcoming guests at Ortolan on Third St, which is (former L'Orangerie) chef Christophe Eme's own place. Superb fare to be had there. Nobu bought the space. The gorgeous interior is going to be gutted.
