Ah, my little neighborhood Italian... Indeed the place is TINY so I always get things to-go so that I can enjoy their delicious food with more elbow room. We ALWAYS get Lobster ravioli in pink sauce - the pink sauce is DELICIOUS!!! My friends and I always love what we get (tuna carpacio is also excellent), love the truly Italian staff and think it is a GREAT, neighborhood, Italian go-to for the money. It's more "mom & pop" than Angelini and the rest as far as atmosphere and presentation, in my humble opinion. Enjoy!

don't refer to anything planned, signed, or contracted as being "inked." It's obnoxious.

You can't really compare Vivoli to Mozza or Agelini Osteria as both are a bit more tuscan in flavor/influence. Although Vivoli offers a wide array of Italian dishes, their overall strength lies in their sauces, many of which are southern Italian. I highly reccmomend going back and trying the simple yet outstanding penne arrabiata and ask for either sausage or shrimp. They will create whatever you want if you take the time to discuss it with your waiter.

Sounds good but not great. Not too spendy, either. But does it beat La Buca, Angelini Osteria, Mozza or Pane e Vino?

My fave local Italian eatery in LA is Mezzomondo in Studio City, but that's also bc it's so handy and the owners are super nice.

Plus, with Italian food being so easy to assemble at home, it's tough to introduce yet another Italian place into one's list of usual suspects.

But you made it sound pretty good, so I might have to give this place a try, seeing as it's just over the hill from me. Thanks, PK.
