Erin of Erin’s Kitchen is leaving us for the other coast; she’s moving to New York. Before she goes, however, she is also leaving us a present. Erin has asked a number of folks some questions about eating in LA. You can see my responses over there now where I discuss a few places that should be visited before her departure as well as my earliest LA food memory.

Look for a more interviews coming soon. In addition to my response, Erin also has posted insights from Evan Kleiman (of Angeli Caffe and KCRW’s Good Food) and Jonathan Gold (of the LA Weekly and Counter Intelligence)

Good luck Erin, and happy eating!

On the note of recommending some good eats in Los Angeles, there are a plethora of restaurants, new and old, in downtown. Some people still haven’t ventured into downtown, and if you are one of them, you are missing out. Here is a guide to downtown restaurants that might inspire you to find a new and yummy place to dine.
