One missing recommendation entails a detour to Cayucos (on the coast west of Paso Robles) to one of the outstanding restaurants in that area,Hoppes As a special treat for abalone fans, they also are close to a large abalone farm . They are therefore able to serve abalone as a first course or as a main course. They also have an excellent local wine cellar. Highly recommended.
