I find that the higher-profile the restaurant, the more appreciative they are about cancellations. Anyone else notice that?

Pellegrino's event is only once a year, and today is the last day, so research quickly!

I totally would have sent back the onions, but I guess since he was getting onions with his steak, he'd get his fill of them then.

There is a world of difference between caramelized onions and the (virtually?) raw onions they served with those slabs of tomato. Namely, at least an hour of cooking and reducing.

I seldom send a dish back, but I certainly would have done so in this instance.

Misrepresentation!

Doesn't sound too bad considering the cost. I am intrigued by Pellegrino, and now need to research (probably on your site!) what this is all about.

I derive an unexplained pleasure in calling and letting a restaurant know that I will be late or not be able to make my reservation at all. They are usually so appreciative, in a way that tells you that people blow off reservations all the time without notice. If I was really mental, I would make reservations just so I could call and cancel them.

The Grill is a popular "industry" spot. The odds of seeing celebrities and power brokers are high. Salma is very pregnant these days, maybe she is self conscious of the weight gain!
