Recently had the bread pudding at UCLA Cafeteria. It was to die for!! The vanilla sauce with bourbon was a hit but the bread pudding itself was worth going early to make sure I got some before they ran out. My sister-in-law and I shared it and both agreed it was superb. Had a hint of cinnamon in it which made it even better. I’d call the chef and ask for the recipe if you are up to making it.

Urth has a really delish bread pudding–a bit untraditional I suspect, but really good.

I’m not a big fan of bread pudding, but I did enjoy what was served at The Minotaure in Playa del Rey. Theirs is dished up very hot with sweet caramel and chocolate topping. They claim to have the best bread pudding in town, and I can’t say that I disagree.

I’m curious to find out about places that serve bread pudding too — however, the recipe is very simple and easily adaptable, so you might try making your own. (Heck, I’m bringing an Asian Pear version of this for a potlucky thing tomorrow).
