If you do a side by side taste test with Red Mango yogurt, you might convince yourself that the sour taste in Pinkberry is really lemon and not the natural sourness of plain yogurt.

That said, the PB coffee flavor is weak like everyone else has experienced, and that mingled with lemon overtones makes this new coffee flavor a bad combo. I don't know anyone who drinks their coffee with lemon.

Hey Jonah, I know what you mean when you say your palate is trained to reject sour coffee. Froyo and coffee doesn't sound like a good idea at all.

I've never actually bought a serving of pinkberry. Several times I've gone in and asked for a sample and that seemed to quench my cold craving quite sufficiently. One day when I'm feeling hungry enough I s'pose I'll place an order. I like the plain flavour well enough, but if I'm going for something cold and creamy, I think it needs to be gelato.

BUT the last time I went in to scoop up a freebie I was with a friend and the gal made one sample then split into two sample cups. Boo hoo!

I actually enjoy Pinkberry. I tried the coffee flavor just on Saturday night and was incredibly turned off by Pinkberry for the first time.

I'll be sure to try Bennett's the next time I'm at Farmer's Market. :)

For a moment there Jonah I think I could taste the new coffee flavored yogurt. Thanks for the descriptive post! Personally, coffee-flavored-sweet-and-sour-anything is much like mint candy, best on the tongue when enjoyed just for a moment. Free sample or not, I think I'm sticking with my Mayan mochas, from Swork's and Leonida's, this winter. :)
