I agree Harold, it's the kind of place you could go to often since their menu does evolve with what it in season.

In my estimation, this is an issue for management to address. In a less competitive market, I would probably go back before too long to give them another shot. There are just too many places in this town that have great food and at least decent service. I will admit that Los Angeles is not a shining example of restaurant customer care though.

I've had almost the same experience. Fantastic food, slow service. I probably would have gone back many times if the service has been better, because the price is right and the style of the food means you can easily go back a lot.

i have yet to dine at literati 2 but i have been to literati (the cafe side) several times and i have to that they have worst service i have ever experienced.

on my first dining experience at the cafe during a sunday brunch, they lost my dining order...after several inquiries and complaints to the cashier, they brought out my order a good 45 minutes after i initially ordered it.

i decided to forgive this one incident and dine there again ... second time wasn't so bad as I just ordered tea and a pastry

third time was the worst as i went there for a late lunch on a weekday...the cafe was pretty much empty and again, they lost my order again...to worsen matters, after i complained, they brought out my order 15 minutes later. the sandwich (BLT) i ordered was cold and lifeless, as if they just pulled left over lettuce and tomatoes and threw it in a sandwich with bacon that tasted like it has been sitting out for hours...

after these needless hassles, i am avoiding literati and literati 2 forever...
