Jonah, glad you had a good experience here, mine was pleasant too! I've never been to Morton's (besides a private party) wimpy, but I don't believe they had a dineLA menu there?

My experience because of dineLA would bring me back to a Ruth Chris in the future. I would think that's one of their prime reasons for being part of the promotion. Although reading some reviews, a few places seemed to think it was more of a annoyance. I may try Mortons or Mastros one day, but for now as far as Ruth Chris goes, I was impressed by the service (didn't seem phony to me) and food (i love butter).

Ruth's Chris is typically a mediocre piece of meat served with butter on top.Fat and cholesterol on top of fat and cholesterol. Most people don't realize the butter helps the meat to seem more flavorful, but the very best steaks like Mortons, don't need the extra fat on top.
The service is typically like a tourist trap, where phony friendliness belies sloppy handling.
All this for over $60/person in a snooty environment.
I'll take Houston's any day over this.
