Stephanie-
I assume that you meant this comment for my La Botte post.

I am indeed a perpetual neophyte in foodland, I love to try new places and am well aware that I can't try every restaurant out there. When I sat down with the Director of the Michelin Guides, Jean-Luc Naret I told him that I was surprised about some of the starred restaurants. I'm glad that they did recommend La Botte; annoying or not, that was a great dinner.

Jonah,

If you can't spell "buona sera" properly, you shouldn't enter an Italian restaurant. Or try spell check! And to say you wouldn't have gone to La Botte without hearing of its Michelin star rating makes you sound like a neophyte in foodland. You're annoying! I'm unsubscribing!

thanks for the linkage.

I just had a 3 course meal (went to Buenos Aires for a week) with pampas-fed Rib-Eye (ojo de bife) for less than $15U.S!!!

And DineLA is supposed to be a 'deal'.

Thanks Mara, I was glad to see that there are a number of Long Beach restaurants participating. The LBC is often overlooked when talking about food in LA.

I had the most wonderful evening at Noe Restaurant last night for dineLA. From the decor to the service Noe was everything I could have hoped for. Although the portions were on the smaller size, considering the price reduction in combination with the mulitude of flavor, I say it was quite a steal! I can't wait to go back.

Will also be reviewing Cafe Sevilla and the Sky Room soon.

For me DineLA is a mixed bag (as my posts indicate) but I do think it was a success in terms of getting people out to try restaurants they otherwise wouldn't (even my non-foodie friends were excited about it).

I've also been to Napa Valley Grille (a hit, yet to post) and will be checking out Circa 55 tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.
