Erinn, "red hots" at the Stand (and some other places) are spicier hot dogs. I think the upgrade options on dogs and fries is fairly new (but very welcomed!).

Hey Tim K. What's a red hot???
I'm also a big fan of The Stand and I didn't know you could upgrade from chips to fries, I only thought you could get them on the side. And yes, extra pickles is a must! Glad to meet another Stand regular.

Been a big Stand fan for a few years now. My tips: upgrade the dog to a "red hot," upgrade the chips to fries, and make sure to request pickles.

Nice review. Yeah, there's nothing worse than overly salty dressing, especially on a salad that already contains extra-salty ingredients...

Have you checked out Let's Be Frank yet? If you can't make it out to Culver City you can now order their dogs online

Cool - we live in Encino and drive by this place all the time. While I'm not a hot dog person per say, my husband and stepdaughter could always go for one, so we might just bop on in!
