Vegan food has become one of my all time favorite cuisines, I love to taste/see how they "veganize" things for typical omnivores, things meat free renditions of things that have embedded in our flesh eating culture.

I've also concluded that after all the monstrous eating I do, a light, fresh vegan meal can be a godsend at times.

Hi Foodette,
I was very pleasently surprised by the entire experience and had a lot of fun seeing how they would do traditionally meaty things w/out meat! In fact I probably ordered the less straightforward options (like a salad) just to see what they would do.
I'll go back again for sure.

I actually don't classify myself as a carnivore - omnivore is more my style. I enjoy eating vegan, but I prefer not to order items that are copy cats of something they could never be. While I enjoy a good veggie burger, I am not a fan of fake dairy or eggs. I think I would have been like you - delicious sorbet, not so great creme brulee. But, I applaud you for stepping outside your comfort zone and going for it! I think vegan meals have a place in a healthy lifestyle. Every once in a while, that is. And, preferably in form of a salad :)
