Yum. What a fun surprise, cotton candy. I haven't been there for awhile, I'll have to revisit them.

Lizzie, Marie, & Natty - I definitely enjoyed Porterhouse and would recommend it.

Jay - I strongly encourage readers to leave feedback about bad experience, not just good. I'm hoping Porterhouse was just having an off night when you went. I did warn that the salmon quesadilla was filled with cream cheese, which I thought worked, but I guess it's not for everyone. Did you try talking to the staff about what they were doing wrong? (For instance, I wasn't happy with my overcooked steak, so they made me a new one.) I know you say you don't normally post, but I'm glad you did. It's important our readers get a full picture.

I went there on a Saturday night (8/16) and we had the Prix Fixe meal w/ 2 Person Porter house. Don't know if this was an off night, but service was horrible. They threw the food on the table and rushed us. We didn't get our wine until our steak arrived (Watery Cab). The place was 1/2 empty and service was still bad. They placed a hot plate without telling us and I practically fried my finger off (blister to prove it). Oh yea, no cotton candy either. Salmon Quesdilla was cream cheese and salmon not good. Spinach Salad. ok. Steak good, Desert Creme Burlee served cold fresh out of the frig. Not impressed will not go back. Ruth's Chris makes this look like a burger joint. I don't normally post, but felt the need after my visit.

This sounds like such a great deal. And a place that offers cotton candy at the table is hard to resist!

Thanks for the lovely review of Porterhouse. I haven't been there and have wondered as I wandered by, how is it? Is it worthy? It looks full meal worthy!

Thanks for reminding me, Liz! The restaurant is pretty kid friendly. There's a prix fixe menu available for children ages 12 and under for $14.50.
