Sunday, January 22, 2006 21:39 3 CommentsWe heard on City Search that Culver City’s Backstage had great food and an awesome atmosphere. We grabbed a friend as we left UCLA for the evening and drove the crowded streets last Tuesday to visit the bar.
From the outside, there’s not much to see. Backstage’s sign has Sailor Jerry-esque printing [...]

My friend just gave me a wonderful belated birthday gift from Cocoa Vino. I am now the proud owner of bonbons flavored with wine and spirits. My gift came beautifully boxed and it was tied with a little pink bow. [...]
Your table is now…open
Friday, July 29, 2005 17:45 7 CommentsA: So I’ve been using Open Table for a while now. For those of you who haven’t visited, it’s an online reservation website that allows you to browse through a number of restaurants, search places that have reservations for your time-frame, and gives you a $10 for every 10 reservations that you make using [...]
A few of our favorite things: Simpang Asia and The Indo Café
Monday, July 25, 2005 23:27 8 CommentsA: K. spent a portion of his childhood in Indonesia. Ever since he got back, he has searched long and hard for the perfect plate of nasi goreng and other gems of Indonesian cuisine. We’ve tried The Banana Leaf in the Farmer’s Market, Ramayani’s in Westwood, and had good food at both; recently [...]
