Just got back from the Santa Monica Wednesday Farmers Market. Summer is in full bloom! Lots of berries, beans and stone fruit. I saw strawberries, ollaliberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Plenty of peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots. All varieties of beans–many stands had Blue Lake green beans, some had sugar [...]

The market was nice today, lots of variety out there. Asparagus at many locations, with one stand having white asparagus (they had sheeting up to have it in the shade). There was lots of good food at the market today. Tons of stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, plums), lots of peppers (bell peppers and Spanish varieties), everyone has tomatoes out- heirloom, cherry and regular varieties, sweet white corn, blue lake green beans, lots of squash, onions, tomatillos. I just got in from the farmers market and it was great! I am starting to see the beginning of summer fruits. There were 2 stands I saw that had cherries, and the woman said they hope to have cherries through Fathers Day, but the rain on Monday may have hurt their crops. [...]

The market was great today, nice weather and lots of folks.
Saw Micheal of Michaels restaurant (he was speaking french to some chefs) out collecting veggies and fruit.
Starting to see: lots of strawberries
Continuing to see: lots of cauliflower, broccoli, lettuces (all varieties- green leaf, read leaf, romaine), potatoes, celery, lots of citrus!
