I hit up the far mar and bought tons of goodies. I picked up some pineapple guavas (little green guavas that you eat the centers of), baby heirloom tomatoes (from Tutti Frutti farms, one of the best stands), carrots, cabbage, onions, mutzu apples (for baking and eating), new york apples (for baking), tangelos……I think [...]

Back to the market this week. The far mar has some new things: lots of persimmons, a few pomegranate stands, lots of apples, some pears, fading out on the grapes, still have heirloom tomatoes, and some tangelos and minellos are starting to show up. Lots of chard and greens. Squashes a plenty too. [...]

Just got back from the far mar and think my arms are going to break! I bought white zucchini, bell peppers, Anaheim chilies, mutsu apples, red grapes, onions, avocados, pears, and green beans. It was bumping down there.

Hi there, Suzy here with first market report from the Wednesday Farmer’s market. I make a weekly trip to the Santa Monica market and hopefully will provide some useful tips on what’s in season, and what is fading out.
